Sunday, April 10, 2016: In true April Fools Day fashion, the annual April Fools Ride is rescheduled for Sunday, April 10. Snow this past weekend caused the ride to be rescheduled. The bike ride is now scheduled to start at 10 a.m. at the Everett kiosk on the Northern Strand Community Trail (where the trail begins near Wellington Ave. and West Street) and will include a tour of the East Boston Greenway.
Sunday, May 15, 2016: The Mystic/Malden River Trails ride is scheduled for Sunday, May 15 at 11:15 a.m., starting at the Blessing of the Bay Boathouse in Somerville, Mass.
Sunday, June 12, 2016: Bike to the Sea Day Ride: The ride from Everett, through Malden, Saugus, Revere and Lynn to Nahant Beach is designed to bring attention and support to efforts to complete the trail. The ride starts from the Madeline English School, 105 Woodville Street in Everett, Mass. Arrive at 8:30 am to register and sign a waiver. Or register online here. Individual adult registrations cost $25. Family registrations (for two adults and two children) cost $35. You can choose to ride the shorter 14-mile course or the full 20-mile route. Route includes both off-road and on-road riding. Police escorts are usually given to assist bicyclists at major intersections. Volunteers are needed.
Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016: Bike Your Park Day Ride. Charlestown to Salem. Volunteers needed.
The Fall Colors Ride will be held sometime in October and other rides will be announced for July and August.
