April Fools' Day Ride, Saturday, April 8, 2017: The April Fools' Day Ride is postponed until Saturday, April 8 because of the expected snowstorm. Starting at noon from the Bent Water Brewing Company at 180 Commercial Street in Lynn. We’ll explore the proposed sections of the Lynn Community Path and bicycle down the Northern Strand Community Trail. Returning for refreshment at Bent Water by 2 p.m. Total ride will be ~ 12 to 15 miles.
Sunday, June 11, 2017: Bike to the Sea Day Ride: The ride from Everett, through Malden, Saugus, Revere and Lynn to Nahant Beach is designed to bring attention and support to efforts to complete the trail. The ride starts from the Madeline English School, 105 Woodville Street in Everett, Mass. Arrive at 8:30 am to register and sign a waiver. Or register online here. Individual adult registrations cost $25. Family registrations (for two adults and two children) cost $35. You can choose to ride the shorter 14-mile course or the full 20-mile route. Route includes both off-road and on-road riding. Police escorts are usually given to assist bicyclists at major intersections. Volunteers are needed.
